PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
போராட்டம் – Endure. Keep going.
The story behind it
Porattam (போராட்டம்) means “struggle” in Tamil – the everyday struggle, perseverance, never giving up. The design shows a palmyra palm, the tree that survives in dry soil because its roots reach deep into the earth.
It stands for generations who endured hard times, who started over somewhere new and never forgot their roots. A shirt for everyone who keeps going.
The design
- Front: small “THIS IS TAMIL” logo with தமிழ் on the chest
- Back: “PORATTAM” and போராட்டம் – a palmyra palm before a red sun, its roots reaching visibly deep into the ground.

WHAT MAKES US STRONG
WE STARTED
OVER.
WE NEVER GAVE UP.
Many Tamil families had to leave their homeland and start over elsewhere – often with nothing but their language and their unity. They built businesses, schools, temples and associations. Porattam means struggle: not against anyone, but for a good life, for the children, for their own culture.
